L-Glutathione - My Next Experiment in Skin & Hormone Support

Why I’m Adding It to My Stack

Let’s be real - my supplement shelf is starting to look like a mini wellness lab. But when you’re 40+, managing PCOS, and noticing how stress and hormones show up in your skin, hair, and energy, the goal isn’t perfection - it’s support.

After months of hearing about L-Glutathione - the so-called “master antioxidant” - I finally decided to try it. I’m still in the early days, but sharing why I’m adding it to my stack and what I’m hoping to see.

What It Is

L-Glutathione is a naturally occurring antioxidant that your body makes, but like most good things, production tends to decline with age, stress, and chronic inflammation (a.k.a. life after 40). It’s made up of three amino acids - cysteine, glutamine, and glycine - and it plays a key role in detoxification, immune defense, and cellular repair.

Why I’m Trying It

Here’s what drew me in:

1️⃣ Hormone Support

It helps your liver detoxify, which means it supports the process of clearing excess estrogen. For anyone dealing with hormone imbalance or adenomyosis, that’s a huge piece of the puzzle.

2️⃣ Skin & Glow

L-Glutathione is famous for its skin benefits. It’s said to brighten, calm inflammation, and even out tone from the inside out. I’ve seen enough women swear by it that I’m curious to see what happens over time.

3️⃣ Energy & Recovery

Because it helps your body neutralize oxidative stress, many people report smoother energy and less post-stress fatigue. I’ll be watching for that too.

How I’m Starting

Right now, I’m taking it in the morning, but I’ve learned from experience not to expect instant results, but to pay attention to trends. If it does half of what people claim, it’ll earn a permanent spot in my “measured life” routine.

Real Talk

I’m not chasing flawless skin or miracle detoxes - just curious, intentional support. My approach is simple: listen to my body, try one thing at a time, and share what works.
